Yearbook on Space Policy

The Yearbook on Space Policy, edited by ESPI and published by Springer Publications, is the reference publication analysing space policy developments. The first part of the Yearbook sets out a comprehensive overview of the economic, political, technological and institutional trends that have affected space activities. It is prepared in-house by ESPI and while its perspective is European, it also provides a comparative analysis of space efforts around the world. The second part of the ESPI Yearbook offers a more analytical perspective on the yearly theme and consists of external contributions written by professionals with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. The third part of the Yearbook carries forward the character of the Yearbook as an archive of space activities. Again prepared in-house by ESPI, a bibliography, chronology and data about institutions is provided wherein readers of the volume can follow statistical developments and evolutions.

 Studies in Space Policy

The use of outer space is of growing strategic and technological relevance. Space policy is therefore becoming an issue area of rising importance and visibility. The Studies in Space Policy Series, edited by ESPI and published by Springer Publications, is a European reference book series in this respect. It comprises volumes prepared by ESPI but also provides the opportunity for external researchers to prepare publications and contributions that contribute to the overall ESPI research agenda. The series is complementary to the Yearbook on Space Policy. In addition to policy related topics concerning governance, international relations or applications, it also highlights cross-disciplinary approaches to topical space issues.
