ESPI welcomes visiting researchers from other space policy related institutions or foundations. We provide the opportunity for post-graduate researchers to work on ongoing ESPI projects and to benefit from the exchange with our team and from the utilisation of our network and facilities.
ESPI welcomes applications by EU citizens and citizens all around the world who hold a combined residence and employment permit in the EU. Applications must contain a motivation letter and a CV, written in English. Applicants should at least be graduate students, have some initial experience with space policy topics or space law issues and, a good command of written and spoken English. Interns support ESPI Resident Fellows in their daily activities and are assigned to research projects. Through such work, they can obtain a first-hand insight into the activities of the leading European think tank in space policy and the opportunity to become familiar with the most current issues and stakeholders in the field.
Owing to the large number of internship applications we receive, we regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified. If you have not received a reply within six weeks, please assume that ESPI will not be able to offer you an internship position at this time. Please also note that, in addition to overall qualifications level, internship positions are also assigned based upon the expertise and academic background deemed relevant for ongoing and upcoming projects. Therefore, the Institute’s needs and - corresponding requirements - may change over time.
