12 May 2017. ESA and ESPI are jointly organising a Workshop entitled “Space Data & Cloud Computing Infrastructures: Policies and Regulations”, which will take place on 7 July 2017 at the premises of ESA/ESRIN in Frascati, Rome, Italy.
This one-day Workshop aims to address some key policy and regulatory questions – such as data rights and IPRs – raised by today’s continuous digitalization process, and in particular by the growing use of distributed computing for science data.
Speakers from the European Space Agency, the European Commission as well as major cloud computing providers and scientific cloud computing users will present and discuss policy, regulations and legal issues related to the exploitation of space science data in cloud computing infrastructures over four thematic sessions.
The preliminary programme of the Workshop is available here.
The webpage of the Workshop, through which participants will be able to register to the event, is available here.
