Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) Ambassador Platform for Central and Eastern European region

ESPI has been tasked with the function as an Ambassador Platform for the IAP Programme for the Central and Eastern European region. This function comprises in particular the promotion of IAP amongst the various types of stakeholders (e.g. decision-makers, politicians, co-financers, academic and research institutions, service providers, users etc.). ESPI provides efficient support to ESA with its competence as the leading European institution in the field of space policy research. For a number of potential areas in IAP, ESA and ESPI are matching respective competences. ESPI works hand in hand with the ESA IAP Awareness team, complementing and supplementing expertise, knowledge, and contacts.

In addition to other tasks, ESPI co-administer a Community Portal for the Central and Eastern European region (http://iap.esa.int/c/CEER/). This portal is intended to be a gateway for actors from CEE countries who are interested in Integrated Applications. It contains news stories and announcements of events, provides an archive of recent and on-going IAP initiatives in the CEE region and makes available useful documents. The community portal is intended to be a promotional tool for IAP activities (studies, projects, tenders, etc.) which enables interactive services, such as discussion and document exchange tools. By registering on this Community Portal, one can download documents such as reports and presentations, as well as participate in discussions with other members. Moreover, registered members are able to post articles to appear in the restricted area.
