8 February 2010. At authors conferences in Washington D.C. and Graz, ESPI participated as invited contributor to book projects dealing with space policy issues. |
On 4-5 February 2010 Washington D.C. based Astroconsulting held a workshop at the Space Policy Institute of George Washington University to prepare a special edition of “Astropolitics” on the topic of “National Space Strategy”. The leading space policy experts from the U.S. were present to discuss the U.S. space strategy for the upcoming years. ESPI was invited to present, through its Director Kai-Uwe Schrogl, the European perspective on space strategy and the prospects for trans-Atlantic cooperation. This contribution will be jointly prepared with ESPI Associate Fellow Christophe Venet.
On 8 February 2010, the former head of the Austrian ECSL National Point of Contact, Christian Brünner, assembled an authors team for a publication on “Outer Space – An Ever Growing Issue in Society and Politics”. ESPI Associate Fellows Nina-Louisa Remuß and Christophe Venet participated in the workshop and will contribute articles to this book project based on recent ESPI research in the fields of space strategy, space and security and the future international organisation of space activities.
