15 February 2010. The Chairperson of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) 2010, Romanian Member of Parliament Liana Dumitrescu, visited ESPI for preparation of the events during her Presidency. |
In her capacity as the newly elected Chairperson of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) 2010, Liana Dumitrescu, Member of the Parliament of Romania and Chairperson of its Sub-Committee on Space, visited ESPI, which supports the Presidencies of EISC in organising their respective terms and operates the EISC website. The Romanian Presidency is planning to host a thematic workshop in May and the full conference in October. Liana Dumitrescu was accompanied by the Head of the Romanian Space Agency Marius-Ioan Piso. Together with ESPI’s Director Kai-Uwe Schrogl and ESPI’s Resident Fellow responsible for parliamentary affairs Christina Giannopapa as well as Resident Fellow responsible for regulatory issues Matxalen Sánchez Aranzamendi, the first steps were taken in organising these two events.
