21 June 2012. ESPRAN Newsletter 16 Online

ESPRAN_Nl_16 21 June 2012. The sixteenth Newsletter issue of the European Space Policy Research and Academic Network (ESPRAN) operated by ESPI is now online.

In this issue of the ESPRAN Newsletter, readers can find an account of ESPI activities during the spring of 2012 that was a highly productive season for the Institute. It witnessed the publication of a highly relevant ESPI Report on the space dimension of a strategic partnership between Europe and Japan, which was a follow up on the very successful workshop on the same topic convened in ESPI in January. It also saw the publication of the second issue in the series of ESPI Executive Briefs. In house ESPI activities during this period included a unique workshop on the prospects and challenges of ESA enlargement in the central and eastern European region, as well as a highly relevant and timely roundtable on space crisis management. Finally, highlights included the participation of ESPI Advisory Council member Amb. Jankowitsch and ESPI Director at the 6th annual Space Law conference in Nebraska and a lecture by ESPI Resident Fellow Jana Robinson on the topic of space sustainability, at an international symposium organised by the Japan Space Forum.
