1 June 2011. Klaus-Peter Willsch, MdB Chairman of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) 2011 visited the institute at the occasion of the 50th Aniversary of the UNCOPUOS and 50th anniversary of Human Space Flight.
In the course of its support for the current presidency of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC), the Conference's Chairman Klaus-Peter Willsch, MdB visited ESPI, to have discussions related to ongoing EISC affairs. He was briefed upon the latest activities of the Institute which are relevant for the EISC 2011 Presidency. Together with ESPI’s Director Kai-Uwe Schrogl and ESPI’s Resident Fellow responsible for parliamentary affairs Christina Giannopapa as well as Sabine Echternach, Secretary of the Parlamentsgruppe Luft und Raumfahrt of the German Parliament, he discussed i.a. the organization of the upcoming EISC Plenary Conference, which will take place in the German Parliament in Berlin on the 16-18 October 2011.
