EISC Belgium logo 13 March 2013. The European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) are proud to launch the "Space for Sustainability" Award addressed to European students and young professionals under the age of 30.

In 2012 during the Polish Presidency of EISC the decision was taken to establish, together with ESA, an award, which would cover all aspects, where space contributes to sustainable development (SD) for our society. The "Space for Sustainability" Award aims at raising awareness and enriching the debate around the links between space and SD challenges of the century, with a multi-disciplinary scope and in coherence with the global approach for SD. Project ideas will be assessed by a high-level jury and the most innovative project will be rewarded, during the fall plenary session of EISC in Brussels, with a visit of the CSG at Kourou at the occasion of a launch.

Submissions should be delivered before mid-May 2013 to http://sdaward.eisc.esa.int/
