moonandbeyond.jpg 15 September 2008. ESPI presented its space exploration study “Space Exploration 2025: Global Perspectives and Options for Europe” at the “The Moon and beyond 2008” Conference held in Bremen, Germany.

ESPI Research Fellow Nicolas Peter made a presentation at the “The Moon and beyond 2008” Conference organised by the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR). This event brought together about 250 scientists, engineers to discuss goals, applications, challenges and opportunities related to upcoming lunar activities and beyond. It provided a platform for an open discussion and for the exchange of information between space experts, scientists, politicians, space agencies, the general public and the media.

Nicolas Peter presented in the first session on Programmatics, chaired by Bernhard Hufenbach from ESA. This presentation (link here) aimed to provide insights on the trends in space exploration and gave a better understanding of the variables influencing the evolution of the space context in which Europe will have to operate until 2025.
