16 September 2011. The 13th issue of the Newsletter for the European Space Policy Research and Academic Network (ESPRAN), operated by ESPI, is online.
|
In this issue readers will be able to find information on the latest highlights of ESPI and ESPRAN members’ activities. It covers the period between 1 June 2011 and 31 August 2011 which was marked by a major event involving an ESPRAN member. Together with the Prague Security Studies Institute, ESPI organised the first non-governmental conference dedicated to the topic space security through the transatlantic partnership. Another milestone in ESPI’s relation to its presence at European level was its invitation to introduce a top-level workshop session in the European Parliament. This issue also announces the publication of the “Yearbook on Space Policy 2009/2010 – Space for Society”, which covers in a concise and comprehensive manner global space related developments in 2009/2010. The newsletter counts this time with the profile of the Europäische Akademie zur Erforschung von Folgen wissenschaftlich-technischer Entwicklungen Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler (EA) and stresses the productive cooperation between this ESPRAN member and ESPI.
