21 March 2012. ESPI Director speaks about space policy at Foreign Policy and United Nations Association of Austria

The ESPI Director, Peter Hulsroj, made a presentation to the Foreign Policy and United Nations Association of Austria on the future of the European Space Policy on 21 March. Mr. Hulsroj explained that he was particularly happy to be invited to the Association, because it gave him the opportunity to illustrate how space activities are eminently relevant from a foreign policy perspective. This is true when discussing human spaceflight but also true for Earth Observation, launchers, navigation. In fact, no discipline in the space domain can claim to be irrelevant for international relations. This fundamental point was then demonstrated by a number of specific examples.

The presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session
