11ga_2009_s.jpg 24 March 2009. The General Assembly of ESPI and the Advisory Council of the institute have met to review the work accomplished in 2008 and to outline the activities in 2009.

Summarising the satisfaction of the member institutions of ESPI, the Chairman of the General Assembly, Harald Posch, stated: “The members of ESPI highly appreciate the work done and results achieved in 2008 and would like to congratulate the ESPI management and staff for the outstanding performance.”

The meeting of the General Assembly of 24 March 2009 had been preceded by a session of the Ad hoc Finance Committee under the Chairmanship of Andrea Vena, which reviewed the financial statements of the institute on 3 March 2009 and proposed to the General Assembly to accept and to commend the economic situation of the institute.

The Advisory Council of ESPI had already met on 27 February 2009. During that session the Council welcomed the high quality output and the growing visibility and impact of ESPI. The members also appreciated to opportunities to get even stronger involved in the institute’s work in particular through chairpersonships at ESPI workshops and as editorial advisory board to the “Yearbook on Space Policy” and the series “Studies in Space Policy”.
