24 September 2008. The findings of ESPI’s study on Russia's space cooperation with China and India were presented today in Paris during a seminar on “Russia and Space” organized by the French space industry association Spheris.
ESPI Research Fellow Charlotte Mathieu was invited to present the results of the study “Russia's space cooperation with China and India - Opportunities and Challenges for Europe” during a one-day seminar dedicated to Russia and Space (programme). She gave an overview of the relations between Russia, India and China and their possible evolution, and then focused on their space cooperation. Last but not least, the main opportunities and challenges for Europe in its space cooperation with Russia and the need for action in this changing environment were presented.
This seminar was organized by Spheris, the French space industry association (Spheris website), in collaboration with CNES. It gathered experts from CNES, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission, industry and research institutes, who presented analysis and gave perspectives on Russia, its space activities and industry.
