21 November 2014. Dr Annette Froehlich of the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) visited the SpaceLab of the University of Cape Town (South Africa) for one week to present a number of lectures in the context of the Space and Society module in the new master’s programme on Space Studies. This module covered the status of space activities in the various regions of the world, commercial space activities, space law, space policy, regulatory frameworks for space cooperation, space sustainability and space security.
The SpaceLab offers a multi-disciplinary research-based Master’s degree in Space Studies, with the possibility to upgrade to a PhD. The course is intended for students with strong backgrounds in engineering, science, law and business.
