29 November 2017. A number of spacefaring countries are in the process of developing a new generation of super heavy launcher vehicles, with the purpose of achieving ever more ambitious space exploration and human spaceflight missions, from cis-lunar orbit to Mars. In addition, for the first time in history, a number of private companies are also in advanced stages of development of their own super heavy rockets, aiming both at space exploration as well as the commercial satellite market.

The ESPI Brief 18 provides an overview on such developments and their objectives, and reflects on perspectives in the European context. Download the ESPI Brief 18 here.
