17 May 2011. In its capacity as the manager of the Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) Ambassador Platform for Central and Eastern Europe, ESPI was invited to participate in the “AeroSpace & ITS Cooperation Platform III” workshop in Slovakia and to give a dinner speech focusing on the IAP programme.
The “AeroSpace & ITS Cooperation Platform III” workshop was a joint undertaking of the Aerospace & ITS Cluster, comprising of EADS Astrium, AeroPlacement and TelematicsPRO with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The workshop aimed at providing information and support for the involvement of Slovak organisations (academic, industrial, public or private) in projects with German partners as well as exploring new opportunities in the field of research & development and industrial production.
During the Parliamentary reception ESPI Resident Fellow Erich Klock, Manager of the IAP Ambassador Platform for the CEE region, gave a dinner speech with particular emphasis on the ESA IAP programme. In his speech, he analysed the programme’s structure, objectives and methodology as well as the opportunities for Slovakia. Furthermore, Erich Klock mentioned the role of the Slovak Republic in the European space sector and possibilities to increase national space activities.
