18 May 2011. As a contribution to the current exhibition “Space. About a Dream” in Vienna’s exhibition hall for modern and contemporary art, ESPI held a public lecture on space and communications.

ESPI’s partnership in the current large exhibition “Space. About a Dream” at Vienna’s Kunsthalle (exhibition hall for modern and contemporary art) saw a further element by today’s public lecture contributed by the Institute to the accompanying programme of the exhibition (see related webnews here). ESPI’s Director Kai-Uwe Schrogl spoke on space and communications (“Raumfahrt und Kommunikation. Von Kunst über Propaganda zur Politik”, download here), reflecting on the way how space has been used as a propaganda tool, an icon for the arts and a political instrument.
