3 June 2014. ESPI presented its recent and future activities at the 80th ESA International Relations Committee (IRC) meeting, which took place in Vienna on 20-21 May.
ESPI followed the invitation by ESA to inform Member States about recent and upcoming activities of the Institute at the IRC meeting in Vienna held on 20-21 May. ESPI Resident Fellow Arne Lahcen provided the delegations with the results of the ESPI study on “EUMETSAT-NOAA Collaboration in Meteorology from Space” (download here) as well as ongoing and future ESPI activities dealing with international relations. Erich Klock, ESPI Resident Fellow, presented the recent and future activities of the Institute in the field of humanitarian telemedicine as well as the findings from a comprehensive study, entitled “Humanitarian Telemedicine: Potential Telemedicine Applications to Assist Developing Countries in Primary and Secondary Care” (download here), which was published in February 2014. Delegations welcomed the opportunity to receive the latest information on ESPI’s undertakings and encouraged the Institute to continue its work on the international dimensions of Europe’s space activities.
