IAM2014 poster-sm

14 May 2014. ESPI presented its humanitarian telemedicine project at the UN Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities, which brought together UN entities to discuss the use of space-related activities for development.

Following the release of its Humanitarian Telemedicine report in February, Peter Hulsroj, Alexandra Bonnefoy, and David Gionet-Landry presented their activities on humanitarian telemedicine at the UN headquarters. The 34th session of the United Nations Inter-Agency meeting on Outer Space Activities (UN-Space) focused on the engagement of space tools for development on Earth, and more particularly on the contribution of space technology and applications to the post-2015 development agenda. Moderated by Simonetta di Pippo, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, the presentation was well received by the audience, which represented a wide array of UN functions.
