ESPI Report 45

31 August 2013. ESPI Report 45 entitled “The EU Dual Approach to Security and Space: Twenty Years of European Policy-Making” presents an analysis of the last twenty years of EU law and policy affecting space and security and of how they evolved , influenced by the actors involved and by parallel and intertwined international political and economic developments. A dual approach to both security and space characterised the Europeans’ response to the new political and economic environment of the end of the Cold War. The report is authored by Resident Fellow Nunzia Paradiso.

The report is a sweeping assessment of the EU approach to security and space and records the many intertwined developments in this field and their effects on the many different stakeholders in the fields of space and security. You can download it here:
