3 May 2011. The current German Presidency of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC) conducted a workshop, whose organization was supported by ESPI.
From 1 to 3 May 2011, the current Presidency of the European Interparliamentary Space Conference (EISC), which is Europe’s forum for space groups of national parliaments, convened a Workshop in Kloster Eberbach, near Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Chaired by Klaus-Peter Willsch, Chairman of the Air and Space Group in the German Parliament, the meeting dealt with strategic objectives of EISC and the preparation of the Plenary Conference on 16 to 18 October 2011 in Berlin. MP Willsch also initiated an exchange on topical issues on the European Space Policy. Representatives from France, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland and Romania participated in the Workshop, during which Poland expressed its willingness to hold the Presidency of EISC in 2012.

ESPI was taking part in the Workshop with its Director Kai-Uwe Schrogl, Resident Fellow Christina Giannopapa, who is managing the Institute’s support to the annual EISC Presidencies (see the link to the EISC website here) as well as Associate Fellow Nina-Louisa Remuss, who will be the local liaison to the EISC Presidency for the Plenary Conference in Berlin.
