The twentieth issue of the ESPRAN Newsletter provides an account of ESPI’s activities during the past six months. The period saw the publication of the sixth Yearbook on Space Policy and of two highly relevant ESPI Reports, the report on ESA Enlargement and a study on Humanitarian Telemedicine. The fifth and sixth issues of the ESPI Executive Briefs series and two new ESPI Perspectives were also released. The period also saw a multitude of activities in and outside ESPI. In house ESPI´s activities included the organisation of well-attended evening events during the February and April sessions of the UN COPUOS. Moreover, ESPI representatives significantly contributed to a number of space-related events, such as the 16th European Inter-Parliamentary Space Conference, the 34th Session of the UN Inter-Agency Meeting on Outer Space Activities and the Munich Satellite Navigation Conference. Finally, ESPI is preparing for the publication of reports on the topics of GNSS Governance; Technology Non-dependence; utilisation of space for implementing “Europe 2020” strategy; the future of commercial spacecraft manufacturing in Europe; Organisation of the User Communities in Earth Observation; and Europe's opportunities and challenges with regard to Chinese space exploration ambitions.
