2 July 2010. In its role as the manager of the Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) Ambassador Platform for Central and Eastern Europe, ESPI hosted the inauguration of this assignment under the participation of nine countries from that region.
The inauguration of ESPI’s function as Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) Ambassador Platform for the CEE Region, tasked by ESA, was organised as a presentation of IAP to high-ranking space representatives from CEE countries. The event led to a dialogue on these countries’ expectations, needs and benefits, to be answered by IAP. Space representatives from nine CEE countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and SlovakRepublic) followed the invitation to this event which was organised by Erich Klock, ESPI Resident Fellow and manager of the IAP Ambassador Platform. This two-day event was intended to become the basis for the Ambassador Platform’s upcoming efforts in initiating studies and concrete projects in the region.
