25 July 2016. Ani Vermeulen, a Masters Student from the SpaceLab program at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, visited the European Space Policy Institute in Vienna, Austria on 25 July 2016.

Dr. Annette Froehlich of ESPI has been providing her expertise to SpaceLab for their "Space and Society" Master's Class at UCT since the inception of the program in 2014.

The module focuses on the Outer Space Treaties, international and national space policy, and the effects of space technologies on society. Mrs Vermeulen also visited the United Nations in Vienna where the UN Committee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) meets to shape the future of space policy through global cooperation.

ESPI provides content and lecturers for current space-related topics to universities and other educational institutions around the world and serves as a contact point to other European space partners. Moreover ESPI offers internships in the field of legal, political and societal space matters.
