Suggestions for a European way to react to Chinese space activities and space perspectives for European Cooperating States (ECS) were discussed at an ESPI study presentation in Brussels on 26 June 2007. This event attracted around 30 representatives from various European institutions.

warsaw  25 June 2007. The “Warsaw Space Days” (21-24 June 2007), organised by the Polish Space Office, was a four-day event dedicated to space activities in Poland that gathered the Polish space community and Polish decision-makers. ESPI co-organised the International Panel that took place on 22 June, during which ESPI presented the study “The European Space Programme - Opportunities and Challenges in Central and Eastern Europe”.

space4peace  22 June 2007. The German EU Presidency hosted a seminar on “Security in space, the contribution of arms control and the role of the EU” in Berlin on 21 and 22 June 2007. This seminar also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Outer Space Treaty. ESPI was invited to moderate a session during this seminar.

 26 June 2007. The Interdisciplinary Centre for Space Studies at the University of Leuven held the 6th workshop in its series on European Space Policy, dealing this time with the challenges to come following the adoption of “A First European Space Policy”. ESPI was invited to contribute an assessment of the security dimension of space.
