The European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) is pleased to welcome the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) as the newest member to the Institute. Established in 2014, POLSA supports the Polish space industry by combining the worlds of business and science. The Agency also promotes the development of satellite technology that can be used in everyday life, including for communication, navigation, environmental monitoring, and weather forecasting. The main areas of focus for the Polish Space Agency include:
- International cooperation.
- Development of the Polish space sector.
- Data and solutions for public authorities at the central and local levels.
- Public awareness and promotion of space to a wider audience.
- Provision of security for Poland and its citizens.
ESPI is a globally renowned and highly active European think tank on space policy which addresses new challenges, diagnoses current trends, and indicates future solutions. Becoming a member of ESPI is not just a membership, but a step into a world of possibilities, where collaboration fosters creativity, networking builds relationships, and common goals lead to collective European success. Our main goal is to become an actively contributing member of the European space ecosystem and to create a powerful network that transforms aspirations into achievements.
POLSA's membership in ESPI marks an important step in building a diverse ESPI membership base across the European continent, ensuring a balanced set of perspectives in ESPI's General Assembly. Poland's growing ambition in space, notably in support of critical public policy challenges beyond space, such as security and defence, can stimulate sound policy momentum across Europe, to scale up European ambition, and propel Europe to become a full-fledged space power and a trusted partner on the global scene.
