2nd ESA Security Conference with major ESPI involvement

On 16 and 17 May 2023, the 2nd ESA Security Conference took place in the Egmont Palace in Brussels.

ESPI co-organised the event with ESA & with support of Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO) and our team facilitated this lively forum with numerous presentations and moderation.

The Conference is a continuation of the long-standing work that ESPI is conducting with ESA on the topic of “Space for Security”. ESPI is also engaged in addressing space security & defence through various other research and engagement activities, accessible here.

One of the introductory presentations at the 2nd ESA Security Conference was provided by our Research Manager Matija Renčelj and Lead on Security and Defence Mathieu Bataille, outlining key takeaways from the recent ESPI research, which was published in one of our recent ESPI Reports (Space in Support of Security Missions – ESPI).

For questions regarding ESPI activities in the security & defence domains, please contact Mathieu Bataille, ESPI Lead on Security and Defence, mathieu.bataille@espi.or.at
