ESPI Engagement with Italian Students Through Educational Forum

On 12 April 2024, the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) hosted the Student Movement for International Organizations (MSOI), the UN Youth Association of Italy, and the youth branch of the Italian Society for International Organizations (SIOI) during their institutional visit to Vienna.

The visit included over 60 members of MSOI and explored the link between ESPI’s activities and space diplomacy.

ESPI Research Fellow, Costanza Crivelli Visconti, seconded by the Italian Space Agency, coordinated the event and introduced ESPI’s activities. Following these opening remarks, ESPI Research Fellow Alberto Rueda Carazo introduced ESPI’s Vienna Space Diplomat (VSD) initiative, explaining the role ESPI plays in promoting space in the diplomatic ecosystem. Research Fellow seconded by DLR, Lina Pohl and Research Fellow and Lead on Regulatory Affairs, Sara Dalledonne then gave a joint presentation on research insights from the report “Space Safety & Sustainability Momentum”. To close the event, Research Fellows Costanza Crivelli Visconti and Laura Corbett presented ESPI’s Education portfolio. The topics discussed generated high interest from the audience, and a fruitful discussion followed during the networking coffee break.

ESPI Research Fellow, Costanza Crivelli Visconti coordinated and facilitated the event and can be contacted at <costanza.crivelli.visconti@espi.or.at> for any questions.
