The President of the Italian Space Agency, Dr. Teodoro Valente, and ESPI Director Ludwig Moeller signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ASI and ESPI to support a reinforced cooperation, allowing ESPI to respond to the needs of ASI and Italy, and to fulfil ESPI’s mandate and further develop its role and purpose in the European space landscape. ASI has been a long-term member of ESPI
ASI and ESPI agreed to reinforce their cooperation in the three thematic areas:
- research and analysis on priority issues of mutual interest.
- educational activities
- networking and engagement, such as through joint events, or promotional activities, incl. with Italian Parliamentarians
The MoU was signed at ESPI’s 20th Anniversary Event in on 25 Sep 2023, in the Austrian Parliament in Vienna, Austria.
