Yearbook 2020

The ESPI Yearbook is an annual publication which provides an overview of major developments and trends in space policy, industry, programmes, economy and overall worldwide activity over the year. The 2020 edition is the second of a new Yearbook series with revised structure and content, organized in four complementary chapters:

  • Policy & Programmes: space policy highlights and trends, major space programme developments
  • Industry & Innovation: launcher and satellite industry developments, selected company info sheets
  • Economy & Business: global and European space economy indicators (turnover, budgets, investment)
  • Launches & Satellites: space activity statistics, mission highlights and ESPI launch log

Some of the key developments presented in the 2020 edition of the ESPI Yearbook are:

  • New European ambitions and a change in space leadership
  • Artemis Accords: The U.S. sets conditions for international cooperation
  • The multiplication of commercial spaceports and the widespread development of reusable launcher programmes
  • A record setting year for European NewSpace
