The 2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressed the concerns of the global community, calling on regional, national, and international government and non-governmental actors for assistance. This report demonstrates how space has contributed to global sustainable development and provides recommendations into how this can help address pressing issues. Telecommunications and terrestrial infrastructure benefit greatly from space services, as does navigation and observation. All countries benefit greatly from this, however developing countries, often those that benefit the most, are often an afterthought. Europe has a unique role to play in this, with its history and capabilities, and must continue to push for sustainable and diverse solutions.
